Country Canine Mobile Dog Grooming

Effective Date: 9 May 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") outline the agreement between Country Canine Mobile Dog Grooming ("the Groomer," "we," or "us") and the pet owner ("the Client," "you") for mobile dog grooming services. By booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Country Canine provides professional mobile dog grooming services at the customer’s chosen location using a fully equipped grooming vehicle.

Services may include:

Bathing and drying
Clipping and styling
Nail trimming
Ear cleaning
De-shedding
Teeth cleaning
Puppy grooming
Hand stripping (where applicable)

All services are provided at our discretion based on the dog’s condition, temperament, welfare, and safety.

2. Appointments & Bookings

Appointments must be scheduled in advance and can be made by:

Telephone
WhatsApp
Email
Website enquiry
Social media messaging

Bookings are confirmed once agreed by Country Canine.

We request that customers provide accurate information regarding:

Breed
Size
Age
Behaviour
Medical conditions
Coat condition

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in additional charges or refusal of service.

3. Access & Parking

Customers must provide:

Safe and legal parking access for the grooming van
Adequate access to the property
A safe environment for grooming operations
A power outlet within 25 metres utilising a UK 3-pin plug

If parking restrictions or access issues prevent us from carrying out the appointment, cancellation charges may apply.

Services may be postponed due to extreme weather conditions or vehicle access issues beyond our control. Where this is the case, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule at the earliest convenience.

4. Arrival times and delays

While every effort is made to arrive at scheduled appointment times, Country Canine Mobile Dog Grooming operates on a mobile basis and is subject to traffic conditions and unforeseen delays.

In the event of a delay, clients will be notified as soon as reasonably possible. A grace period of up to 30 minutes may apply. Delays caused by traffic or circumstances beyond our control will not result in discounts or cancellations without notice.

If a delay significantly impacts the appointment, clients will be offered the option to reschedule at the next available time.

5. Health & Welfare

The safety and comfort of your dog is our top priority.

All dogs groomed by Country Canine Mobile Dog Grooming must:

Be fit and healthy enough for grooming
Be fully vaccinated where appropriate
Be free from contagious conditions

Customers must inform us prior to the appointment of:

Medical conditions
Injuries
Allergies
Skin issues
Behavioural issues such as anxiety or aggression
Recent surgeries
Fleas or ticks
Parasites

We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming if a dog shows signs of illness, excessive stress, aggression, or poses a safety risk to itself or the groomer.

In the event of fleas, the groom will cancelled and a rebooking will be offered once the fleas have been treated.

6. Matted Coats

Heavily matted coats can cause discomfort and increase grooming risks including:

Skin irritation
Cuts or nicks
Clipper irritation
Haematomas
Exposure of pre-existing skin conditions

Where matting is severe, the groomer may perform a "humanity before vanity" trim (shaving down the coat) for the dogs wellbeing.

By booking our services, you authorise Country Canine to remove matted coats where required and acknowledge associated risks.

Additional charges may apply for excessive matting.

7. Fleas & Parasites

If fleas or parasites are discovered during grooming:

Grooming will be stopped
Additional cleaning charges may apply
Customers will be advised to seek veterinary treatment

8. Aggressive or Difficult Behaviour

Customers must disclose any history of:

Aggression
Biting
Anxiety
Nervous behaviour

We reserve the right to:

Use a muzzle where necessary
Stop grooming if welfare or safety is compromised
Refuse future appointments

Customers remain responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dog.

9. Puppies & Elderly Dogs

Extra care is taken with puppies and senior dogs; however, grooming can be physically demanding.

We reserve the right to:

Adjust grooming duration
Modify grooming procedures
Stop grooming if the dog becomes distressed or medically compromised

10. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in:

A cancellation fee
Deposit retention
Full appointment charge for repeated no-shows
Refusal of future bookings for repeated last minute cancellations

If we arrive and are unable to access the dog or property, the appointment may be treated as a missed booking.

11. Pricing & Payment

Prices vary depending on:

Breed
Size
Coat condition
Temperament
Grooming time required

Additional charges may apply for:

Severe matting
Excessive de-shedding
Behavioural handling
Flea treatment cleaning
Late arrivals

Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

Returned Payments or chargebacks will incur additional administrative fees.

Accepted payment methods may include:

Bank transfer
Cash
Card payment

12. Photography & Social Media

We may occasionally take before-and-after photographs of your pets for:

Social media
Website content
Promotional and marketing purposes

Photos will only be used with customer consent.

Customers may withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@countrycanine.com

13. Liability

While every care is taken, grooming involves the use of sharp tools and equipment.

Accidental nicks, irritation, or stress-related reactions can occasionally occur during grooming despite careful handling. The groomer is not liable for such cases arising from pre-existing conditions, matting, or dog movement.

While every care is taken, the groomer shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or death of the pet arising from circumstances outside of the groomers control.

Country Canine will not be held liable for:

Pre-existing medical conditions
Reactions resulting from matting removal
Stress-related illness
Undisclosed behavioural or health issues
Veterinary costs arising from undisclosed conditions

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for negligence causing death or personal injury where prohibited by law.

Country Canine Mobile Dog Grooming will not be held responsible for damage to any property during access or service, provided reasonable care is taken.

14. Veterinary Treatment

In an emergency, we may seek veterinary treatment for your dog if we believe immediate care is necessary.

Customers remain responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.

15. Data Protection

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK GDPR and EU GDPR laws.

Customer information is used solely for:

Booking management
Service delivery
Customer communication
Legal and business obligations

16. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly so we can attempt to resolve the matter promptly and professionally.

17. Amendments

Country Canine reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
